Frequently Asked Questions
The first step is scheduling a free 15-minute consultation. From there, we can discuss your needs, answer questions, and schedule your first appointment if it feels like a good fit.
I know reaching out for therapy can feel overwhelming, so the consultation call is simply a relaxed opportunity for us to connect.
During our free 15-minute call, we will briefly discuss what has brought you in, what you hope to get from therapy, and any questions you may have. We can also discuss scheduling, insurance, and whether it feels like we are a good fit to work together.
There is no pressure to have everything figured out. This is simply a space to ask questions and take the first step at a pace that feels comfortable for you.
Starting therapy can feel vulnerable, especially if this is your first time. Our first session is simply a space to get to know one another, talk through what has been bringing you in, and discuss what support may look like for you. There is no pressure to share everything right away. We move at a pace that feels comfortable for you.
That is completely okay. Many clients come to therapy unsure of what to expect. You do not need to have the “right words” or everything figured out before starting.
Feeling nervous is completely normal. Reaching out for support can feel overwhelming, especially if you are used to carrying things on your own. My goal is to create a space where you feel safe, supported, and never judged.
I commonly support adults navigating anxiety, burnout, trauma, life transitions, motherhood, relationship stress, emotional exhaustion, overthinking, and feeling stuck.
MDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) is an evidence-based therapy approach that helps process painful experiences, trauma, anxiety, and negative beliefs that may still be affecting daily life. During our consultation, we can explore whether EMDR feels like a good fit for your goals.
No. Therapy is never about forcing difficult conversations before you are ready. We move at a pace that feels safe and supportive. Building trust and emotional safety always comes first.
Sessions are held securely through a HIPAA-compliant telehealth platform, allowing you to attend therapy from the comfort of your own space anywhere in Florida.
I currently accept Aetna, Cigna, Carelon Behavioral Health, Ascension (Smarthealth), and Florida Blue. Self-pay options are also available.
Finding the right therapist matters. That is why I offer a free 15-minute consultation where we can connect, answer questions, and see whether working together feels like the right fit.
